In 1987, four coworkers / employees joined forces to create what would become a highly successful sound, video and communications company in the southeastern United States. Modern Sound and Communication was formed as a buyout acquisition by former employees of the sound system division of Modern Office Methods, Inc.

Combining their resources, their extensive years of experience and their synergy as coworkers for nine years, they set out to build a future for themselves and their families. Today, Modern Sound and Communication specializes in providing and installing custom professional and commercial sound, video and control systems.

Whether the project is large or small, Modern Sound and Communication provides comprehensive support, from system design, sales installation, programming and system maintenance. 

State-licensed in both Alabama and Mississippi, Modern Sound and Communication is fully insured for all projects. Local projects are typically concentrated in south Alabama, south Mississippi and northwest Florida, but there are multiple customers satisfied with their audio visual projects from coast to coast.

Their centrally located office and warehouse is backed by a fleet of well-maintained service vehicles and dedicated installers and technicians serving government, businesses, schools, houses of worship and other unique clients throughout the continental United States.

The training and certification that their employees routinely undergo is the backbone of their success. Modern Sound and Communication technicians are trained by industry such as AVIXA (Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association), Crestron, Extron Model, QSC and Media Matrix. Well-known industry leaders such as Bose, JBL and Bogen Communications regularly provide additional in-house training for the staff of Modern Sound and Communication. Preference is given to U.S. military veterans when hiring.
